top three thursday: tv premieres

yeah, i took a week off. expect that to happen a few times. this fall is going to be busy with trips and football so my blogging may be slightly lowered, but i'll always catch up!

so with fall coming up, it's time for the premieres of our favorite shows! i'm so ready for some of my line-ups to come back. here are my top three most anticipated premieres:

1. it's always sunny in philadelphia: this is without a doubt the best show on tv. i'm obviously a huge fan of comedy (all my top three will be comedic shows), but this is the funniest and most creative show ever. and they're not afraid to push the envelope on the issues. some of their episodes have been so politically incorrect that you wonder what they'll come up with next, but they always seem to come up with something even more vulgar and awful than they did the week before. oh man, i can't wait. this one premieres september 16th @ 10:00pm on fx.

2. saturday night live: i am ready to have my weekly dosage of my man andy samberg back! i need more digital shorts! summer has been so long without them. i can't wait until they announce that cast line up as well and am keeping my fingers completely crossed that i get tickets this year. yup, i entered myself in the ticket lottery so a trip to new york may happen to be on the books sometime in this tv season. i heard jane lynch will be hosting at some point. who else?! season premiere date still under wraps.

3. how i met your mother: while frantically trying to catch up on the earlier seasons on demand (note comcast: two a week is not enough!), i also watched all of last season in present time, so i am ready for the new episodes! while i'm still heartbroken that nph cannot win a damn grammy for his role on this show (okay, so the "modern family" guy did deserve one too), i also can't wait for the hilarious antics of jason segel's character as well and to learn some new ways to put down canada. funnily enough, i don't even care about ted's story that is supposed to be the backbone of the show. but i guess i'm interested to know who this 'mother' character is... this one comes to your tv on september 20th @ 8:00pm on cbs.

on another note: no more "lost". how tragic. :(
